The You Did It Bag

For you, not just baby

Formulated for all stages of motherhood
Dermatologist founded and tested
Safe for sensitive skin

Everything you’ll want within reach, so you can feel human right after pushing out a human. This bag started as a kit I made for myself and my friends. We were all pregnant and about to give birth around the same time, and I wanted us to have the things we’d actually need in that hospital room. Not baby stuff. Mom stuff. Because no one tells you that you’ll want to freshen up before you can even get out of bed. That chapped lips and sore nipples happen fast. Or that a cute headband can feel like an instant makeover. I packed this the way I wish someone had for me.

What's Inside
  • The Take a Sec Cleanser (60ml / 2 fl oz) — Your moment of calm, travel-sized. A creamy, hydrating reset when you finally get to the sink.
  • The Go-To Moisturizer (30ml / 1 fl oz) — Lightweight, lasting hydration. Feels like a hug for your face when you need one most.
  • The Everything is Fine Balm (20ml) — For nips, lips, and everything in between. Petrolatum-level comfort without the petrolatum.
  • The Freshen Up Mist (30ml / 1 fl oz) — Your in-bed shower. For when you can't get up yet but need to feel alive — face, neck, wherever you need it.
  • The Mother Wipes (30 wipes) — Because hospital wipes are terrible. (Trust me.) For your face, your neck, under your arms — a real refresh when you're still in bed and the bathroom feels miles away.
  • The Pouch — Made in partnership with Work Shelter, an organization training women in India who have no other job prospects. It holds everything now, and it becomes your "mama spot" later. The one place in your giant diaper bag where your lip gloss, keys, and phone actually stay together.
  • The Headband — Keeps your hair back. Look like you tried. (You did more than try. You did it.)
Routine
  1. Pack it now. Forget about it.
  2. Grab it when it's time.
  3. Freshen up in bed. Finally get to the sink. Feel human again.
  4. Keep the pouch. Celebrate you.

I Made This for Us

Here's the thing about hospital bags: everyone tells you what to pack for baby. No one talks about what you'll actually need for you. You've just birthed a human. You have this tiny, helpless person to take care of. But you deserve to feel cared for too. A friend I gave one of these kits to told me it was the most thoughtful gift she received—she felt seen, and she didn't have to think about it. That's what I want for you.

5-Second Answers from Dr. Aegean

You just want someone to tell you what actually works. My job is to look at the actual research and tell you what really matters, without the fear and without the confusion.

Is everything in this bag appropriate during pregnancy and postpartum?

Yes, which means one less thing to second-guess. The cleanser, moisturizer, and balm were thoughtfully formulated for all stages of motherhood, including pregnancy and postpartum. Each formula is reviewed by an independent toxicologist and developed with ingredients that have well-established safety profiles at conservative concentrations. For more information, read our full Safety Statement.

Can I use the balm while nursing?

Yes. The Everything is Fine Balm is safe for nursing when used as directed, with no need to wipe off before feeding. Remove any visible excess for comfort, and use it on clean, intact skin as needed. See our Safety Statement.

Where else can I use the balm?

Use it anywhere you need barrier support: lips, cuticles, dry patches, and the little irritated spots that show up exactly when you are too tired to deal with them. It is designed to go beyond nursing and become the everyday balm you keep reaching for.

Can this cleanser remove makeup, and is it gentle around the eyes?

Yes. The Take a Sec Cleanser removes makeup, sunscreen, and the day in one step, so you do not need to double cleanse. It was also evaluated with the EpiOcular Eye Irritation Test and considered a non-ocular irritant, which supports gentle use around the eye area when used as directed.

Is the moisturizer non-comedogenic and okay for breakout-prone skin?

Yes, this moisturizer was evaluated through independent non-comedogenic testing, a standard dermatologic assessment to determine whether a product is likely to clog pores when used as directed. In testing, the formula did not show a tendency to contribute to comedone (clogged pore) formation. As with all skincare, individual responses can vary, but the testing supports that it is appropriate for acne- and breakout-prone skin.

Are these products safe for sensitive skin?

Yes, this cleanser, moisturizer, and balm were formulated with sensitive and reactive skin in mind. They have been evaluated through an independently administered Repeat Insult Patch Test (RIPT), including individuals with sensitive skin—a standard dermatologic test used to assess irritation potential over time. While no product can be guaranteed for everyone, this testing supports that the formula is well-tolerated when used as directed, even for sensitive skin.
