A poly-hydroxy acid (PHA) — the gentler cousin of AHAs like glycolic acid. Yes, this moisturizer was evaluated through independent non-comedogenic testing, a standard dermatologic assessment to determine whether a product is likely to clog pores when used as directed. In testing, the formula did not show a tendency to contribute to comedone (clogged pore) formation. As with all skincare, individual responses can vary, but this supports that it’s appropriate for acne- and breakout-prone skin.
